KSU theater majors to test their skills in New York (Marietta Daily)

Two Kennesaw State University students and their professor are heading to New York City after finishing finals to put on two off-Broadway productions.

Rick Lombardo, chair of KSU’s theater and performance studies department, will direct two plays — “Albatross” and “Ring Twice for Miranda” — with the help of theater majors Ashton Nicole Montgomery of Augusta and Danny Crowe of Marietta.

Rehearsals started yesterday, December 13th, for the new play Ring Twice for Miranda, written by Alan Hruska (Laugh It Up, Stare It Down; The Man on Her Mind; New House under Construction) and directed by Rick Lombardo (San Jose Rep Artistic Director from 2008-2014, The Snow Queen, Bill W. and Dr. Bob). Tragi-Comedy Ring Twice for Miranda Finds Complete Cast (Playbill)

Ring Twice for Miranda, a new tragi-comedy set to debut Off-Broadway in January 2017, has found its complete cast. The play is penned by Laugh it Up, Stare it Down playwright Alan Hruska and directed by Rick Lombardo.

The cast is made up of William Connell (A View From the Bridge, The Coast of Utopia), Katie Kleiger (Juno and the Paycock, Blue Stockings, Miss Bennet), Ian Lassiter (War Horse, An Octoroon), Graeme Malcolm (Equus, Translations, Aida), George Merrick (Honeymoon In Vegas, South Pacific, High Fidelity), Talia Thiesfield (Man of La Mancha, Veep), and Daniel Pearce (Machinal, …Spelling Bee).
